Strengthening Communities ...

UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief) is a global ministry of the United Methodist Church that focuses on disaster response and recovery, as well as sustainable development.  In the summer of 2022 and again in the Spring of 2023, our congregation worked to supply UMCOR with cleaning kits for disaster recovery due to the massive flooding in Eastern Kentucky. These kits are an essential item for those who have experienced flooding, hurricanes, tornadoes and other natural disasters. These kits provide the necessary tools for cleaning up after a disaster, allowing individuals to begin the process of rebuilding and recovery

UMYH - United Methodist Youth Home ...

The United Methodist Youth Home is located in Evansville Indiana.  It has been in service over forty years providing programs for at-risk youth to become responsible and productive members of the community. In July, Centenary collects school supplies to donate to UMYH to be used in the Day Education Program.

The United Methodist Mission supports eight opportunity stores in eight small towns in Eastern Kentucky.  These stores rely on donations from United Methodist Churches throughout Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio and Pennsylvania.  Donations of clothing, household items and furniture are collected at the churches and the organizations two trucks run routes three times a year to each church to gather them.

Centenary participates in February, June and October.  Items must be boxed or bagged and contents must be marked.  Goods are collected in our Upper Gym.

Funds will be aimed for our ongoing development of the Hope Empowerment Center that will provide
